We featured Laura Crockett‘s garden in the magazine way back in the August 2005 issue, and ever since, I think of her garden as one of my all-time favorites. Laura has a quirky style that makes her garden fun and edgy. We’ve featured her garden on the GPOD before (here, here, here, and here), but I thought we’d feature a few more photos to finish out this week.

Love it! Love Laura's sense of design,color and humor. But what are those odd, spiky green things with what looks like fuzzy chartreuse condoms on top?
Ha!! I'm guessing some sort of aroid - maybe an arisaema - before the berries turn red. Anyone else have any idea?
Oh, and so sorry this went out late today, everyone - there was a glitch on our system last night. Should be all patched up and ready to go for tomorrow morning!

terrific sense of style and structure she has;have loved all the FG pieces of hers. Plse do remember, michelle, to mention the location and zone of all your FGPOD! Laura's Oregon is certainly paradise for those of us unable to grow those plants.

I love these photos, Laura is my kind of woman. Her gardens seem to have been created and designed as though they are a piece of Outsider art. Her sense of balance and whimsy make me smile... and want to see more. Bring them on!
And here I thought the green 'condoms' were blown glass accessories with cool stems... until I looked a bit more closely. Hmmmm?
