Lily Jacobi shows us highlights of her garden throughout the seasons.
"I live in New Hampshire and garden in zone 5B. I love gardening and have a passion for unusual plants and unusual places. I am sending a few photos from my yard that were taken at different times throughout the year."

Hey Lily - Thanks for the virtual tour of your lovely garden through the seasons. The snow laden trees are stunning, and the frozen water in the fountain is very artistic. Nice house too! Cheers from Oz
Hey, Frank. How's the weather down under. Any break from the heat? Mild winter for us up here in the MId-Atlantic. It's growing season for you, when are we going to see some new pictures?
G'day Kev - Watch this space on Monday for a feature on Agapanthus! It's still pretty hot here. There is a number of serious bush/wild fires happening in northern States of the country. We had a nice rainfall this morning to help cool things down a little and freshen things up (see pic.), but it is forecast to reach over 100F in a couple of days time. Have a great week-end. Cheers mate
Thank you Frank! I got lucky capturing the frozen fountain. I am always taking risks like that, but sometimes they pay off!
I am glad you enjoyed the photos!
Cheers to you and blessings from New Hampshire!
It looks like you live on an idyllic country road, Lily. What a beautiful place to garden...thanks for sharing your beautiful photos with us! My crabapple is junky, but we keep it for the shade it provides and the berries that the birds enjoy in the winter.
Hi Rhonda... I live on a relatively quiet dead end street. in the yard with the most flowers of course! I do love my little square of paradise, my Garden of Eden.
I am looking forward to getting out again once it warms up and get my hands dirty again!
Lily, thanks for sharing your photos from up north. No real snow here as yet in Harrisburg, but we have had mild temperatures and a few good rainfalls to catch us up from last seasons dry spell. I am looking forward to at least one good snow. It sure looks good in your photo. Love the phlox against your house. The porch looks beautiful. Hope you get to enjoy it. Your crabapple is doing well. Great structure.
Thank you Kevin.... We keep on having snowstorms. but nothing major yet this winter.... 3-04 inches at a time, sometimes 8-10 inches. Nothing over a foot yet!
I love the crab apple also... though the blooms don't last long enough in my opinion/
It's so nice to see your garden again, Lily. It all looks so lovely. Your frozen fountain is magical. I hope it survived its icing. I destroyed a couple of fountains by accidentally letting them freeze.
Hello Chris! The fountain is still going strong! I guess I lucked out.... I was so captivated when I found it that morning I had to take a picture. It was one of those once in a lifetime moments for sure!
I think I can safely conclude, Lily, that you have a lovely 4 season property even though pictures of autumn are not included in this photo grouping. Any garden with the wise inclusion of ornamental grasses has beauty in the fall covered. I am captivated with how perfectly color coordinated the charming birdhouse is for its spring showing. You mentioned working with crystals? What is your artwork like?
Thank you Michelle. I painted that bird house quite a few years ago. The chickadees have tried to nest in it a few times, and it has seen better years. I am thinking about recreating it, as it fit that setting perfectly!
With regard to my "artwork" I don't know what to tell you! I work with the nature spirits and elemental beings to create my own Garden of Eden. The crystals are certainly part of that energy, but it is more something that is felt than "seen" as it were!
Beautiful phlox. If they are mildew free, you might have one that could become a named cultivar. I have John Fannick, a great performer with clean foliage. I'm always looking for a great phlox so many fall short of the mark. But what flowers!
Thank you.. I have no idea what kind of phlox they are at this point! They are just happy doing there own thing. I have drip irrigation in those beds, so mildew is not usually a problem.
How fun to see some through-the-seasons photos of your garden, Lily. Really wonderful. The exuberant bed full of grasses, phlox and daisies is a delight. It looks like it is as rewarding to enjoy from the porch as it is approaching the house. I love your fountain: frozen and flowing. What color is the tree peony next to the fountain?
Hi Tim... Yes I love my fountain... it is still going strong, though the finish is eroding... I have a well with very hard water and it has an effect. The tree peony is two toned, light pink with red splashes
Good morning Lily. Wow, that Prairie Fire is beautiful. It makes me miss the one that we had in our garden in WI. Beautiful photos and I really like your overflowing front bed with its colorful mixture of grasses and phlox.
Good morning Lily, Your 4 season garden photos are all terrific & the flowering crab scene is an encouragement that spring beauty is soon to come & worth the wait. I like Hello's idea , a Lily Jacobi series of phlox has a ring to it.
Thank you & good luck, this spring, Joe
Just moved to NH this past summer and loved your photos. Yesterday our yard looked very similar to your winter photo! Anxious to start gardening in my new yard come Spring but enjoying this new view for now.
Good morning Lily. Your front porch and surrounding gardens are so lovely, they are what dreams are made of and designers try to recreate for their clients! Don't you just love your Prairiefire? I planted one in our former front yard in IL and people would stop their cars just to look at it when the spring blooms appeared, it never disappointed! Like Michaele, I'm curious about your artwork... hint, hint!
Thank you Sheila... I do love my front porch... mornings with coffee are the best as I am facing the sun, afternoons in the shade when it is hot out is nice also... It is also great for entertaining, and I love to have people come and visit and sit out on the porch with some ice tea and fresh baked goodies...

I can imagine a comfortable and relaxing afternoon sitting on your front porch with an iced tea and cookies. I appreciate your art, it's very personal.
Beautiful, beautiful! and the phlox are outstanding! Almost thought they were azaleas at first glance. Linda, I have a Prairiefire here at Lake Tapps and it does great. except for the storm a few years ago that broke branches on a lot of my trees and shrubs, but it has recovered. G'day Frank! Looking forward to Monday's spread.
Thank you Shirley! The phlox is lovely, but the bloom time is relatively short! I have pulled a bunch of it out since this photo was taken as it was taking over everything!
Your garden is beautiful during many seasons, Lily. Front porches are on my wish list as they are just such friendly, inviting places and yours is just extra charming with all the flowers, grasses and soft colors.
I also am intrigued with the crystals - do let us in to the secret!
Thank you Eddi. I love my front porch. My house faces east, so as soon as it is warm enough I go out with my coffee and sit on the porch in the sun taking it all in.
With regard to the crystals, i work with them to tap into their healing energy. In the same way that flowers and plants have healing properties (as in flower essences, etc) crystals have similar healing patterns. My property is gridded with them, and you won't miss all the Selenite and Rose quartz as you walk up to any of my doors!
Lily, your garden is gorgeous through the seasons. I love that dramatic photo of your fountain encased in ice. I've not grown Phlox but yours look outstanding. Do they smell good too?

Daffodils are my very favorite flower. Love seeing yours.
Thank you.. I love daffodils too... this bed was getting so thick with them I had to start dividing them and moving them!

Thank you Joe! if only I could figure out a side hustle selling those phlox!

no they don't... unfortunately! I am adding some fragrant oriental lilies for fragrance though!
Thank you Diane! I am glad my photos and yard captured your interest. It is nice to be able to share my bit of paradise with you all.
