This stunning metal wall in Laura Crockett’s garden in Hillsboro, Oregon, serves several purposes. It serves as a backdrop for dramatic plantings on the public side, creating strong color contrasts with the silvery plants against it. It also seves as a privacy screen for her exterior bedroom door, which, interestingly, is on the front of the house. The lit fountain set within the wall serves as a source of soothing sound and a bewitching nightlight when the sun goes down. Stay tuned for more photos from this garden tomorrow.

Wow, I have seen photos of this fountain before and just love it! What I want to know is Laura willing to share the construction details? I would so love to build one!
Fabulous!
Wonderful! I like how there's so much going on in this one detail. I would love to see the entire garden some day. I need to add more details like this to our garden!
Drop dead gorgeous...
Laura really knows how to create a scene! I have heard and seen her talking about her garden. There is a lot more drama to come. Great stuff Michelle.
That is just beautiful!
It would be sooo nice to have these plants identified. This is stunning!!
Our climate in Western North Carolina is much like Oregon's - a rainforest when we're not having a drought!
