   I like the look. I am trying to get lambs ear established along a couple of my borders but I am doing it the cheap way. Divide and conquer! It is nice to know what it will look like once established.

   My lambs ear are just coming awake they are a lovely silver and green color all winter BUT now will put out tall stalks that will give me beautiful flowers which I dry and use in arrangements. This a beautiful picture of lambs ear but mine have looked that good.

   I want to live in their guest house! I use lamb's ears for the color and texture, but I generally hate the flowers, so off with their heads. This border, though, is what they were created for... it's just perfect.

    GardenGal, I am with you. Mine always get kind of scruffy looking, but when they are in rich soil they seem to do better which is contrary to what I see in gardening mags that all say they can tolerate drought and sandy soil. Personally, I like the flowers too, and the bees love them! Perhaps if we mulched more and had the private gardener this guest house obviously has?
