If you’re lucky enough to find yourself at the Chicago Botanic Garden at night, you’ll see a whole new dimension to their courtyard bonsai display. Sure, during the day, the frosted glass panels are the perfect crisp, neutral backdrops to showcase their amazing specimens, but check out what happens after sunset: from the other side, a still pool reflects the amorphous silhouette of the bonsai showing through the glass. Stunning!
