I’m in the midst of planning a trip to California, leaving next week, to go to the San Francisco Flower & Garden Show, and to visit with some of my favorite gardening people. Among them are Sabrina and Freeland Tanner up in Napa. I’m so excited to see them and their spectacular garden again (we’ve featured their work several times in the past: here, here, here, and here, to name a few). Today I’m sharing some photos from a garden they designed at the Darioush winery in Napa. When I saw this archway covered in roses and clematis when we visited a couple of years ago, I nearly swooned. My gosh, does it get any better than this?? Enjoy.

Without a doubt, the yumminess of that purple clematis and peach rose combination is the stuff of dreams.
Guess there are no Japanese Beetles in California! The lushness of that rose is amazing!
Wow! Absolutely stunning!
Maybe see you at the SF Flower and Garden Show!!
What huge perfect peachy roses... must like growing in all the heady winery fumes... and their color sort of matches the building. That's my Peachie.
That second photo is so vibrant and surreal! If only I could do 1% of what Sabrina and Freeland do in their gardens...that would be something!
The roses and clemantis are perfect together and the roses are so big and lush (they really must like the climant or soil or something out there)
I think the Santa Barbara Orchid show is this next weekend, too.
Okay, now you have us Cali dreamin'. Happy trails Michelle! I wish we could ALL meet there... Please snap lots of shots to share with us and tell Sabrina & Freeland how much the East enjoy their featured gardens and creative talents!
