My name is Chris Buscemi, and I live in Wells, Maine. You have posted my photos in the past (see A Profusion of Pink in Maine). Here are some of my favorite photos this year so far.
This is in my front yard. I planted a pollinator garden full of pink coneflowers (Echinacea purpurea, Zones 3–8) and different-colored phlox (Phlox paniculata, Zones 4–8) and grasses. It is overflowing with bees, butterflies, and my favorite hummingbird sphinx moth.
Chairs to sit in and enjoy the garden
A butterfly visits the purple coneflowers.
My favorite annual for shade is Browalia speciosa (Zones 9–10). Here it is blooming next to a big clump of Hakonechloa macra (Zones 5–9).
In spring my ‘Bartzella’ peony (Paeonia ‘Bartzella’, Zones 3–9) bloomed for the first time. I purchased it bare root three years ago.
A swallowtail butterfly visits a fragrant bunch of lilac flowers (Syringa vulgaris, Zones 3–7).
Doublefile viburnum (Viburnum plicatum f. tomentosum, Zones 5–8) in full spring bloom.
Angelique tulips (Tulipa ‘Angelique’, Zones 3–8) and grape hyacinths (Muscari armeniacum, Zones 4–8)

Lovely! Coneflowers are simple, easy to grow, and beautiful. I have several colors in my garden.
Love those coneflowers.
I especially love your "sea of purple coneflowers", I have one struggling to grow and can't wait until mine look a little more like yours!
I also love the Hummingbird Moths and am glad to know they like purple coneflowers.
Your garden is looks so peaceful with the surrounding woodlands and those relaxing looking chairs!
I don't know where to start... that peony.... that viburnum... I'm like one of the hummingbird moths jumping from one to the other of your beautiful plants!
Beautiful! 👍🍃
Your garden is absolutely beautiful Chris. I can certainly see why these are your favorites. Keep up the good work. Thank you for sharing.
