Happy Thanksgiving to all our readers.  I hope this finds you surrounded by loved ones, a decimated dinner table and if you are like me, a football game on.

But before I settle into the couch to watch the annual turkey day pummeling of the Detroit Lions, I’m going to take a walk outside in the garden and give thanks for what God has created.  We all lead busy lives with different levels of stress, but how many times have you relieved that by going outside and spending quiet time in your own garden?

If you are like me more times than you can count.

The plants simply go about their business of producing flowers, food or a safe place for animals to nest.  They wait quietly for us and when we give them that bit of water, or trim that dead branch they reward us with so much more.  Like they do with carbon dioxide, they absorb what ails us and turn it into a breath of fresh air.

So sometime today do yourself a favor.  Go outside and take a moment to stop and smell the roses.  And give them thanks.

Happy Thanksgiving
Paul
