Garden Photo of the Day

Happy Halloween Photos from NYBG

Our very own Carol Collins shared these 'bootiful' photos with us today!

"New York Botanical Garden is a beautiful place to visit any time of the year, and last weekend it was in its full autumn glory. Families were flocking to see NYBG’s Giant Pumpkin Carving event, where North America’s largest pumpkins were on display. Some of those giant curcubits were even being transformed into works of art! I couldn’t resist snapping shots of autumn plant combos and the lovely pumpkin displays in the family garden."

Great time of the year, isn't it! That is one huge squash! But I sure enjoy seeing the anemone white freely growing! Thanks for brightening up this gloomy, rainy but much needed morning!

Wow, that pumpkin must be the great, great grandson of the one that took Cinderella to and fro the ball...what a cool thing to see in person.

Yeah, the pumpkin figures got my attention! Very fun. All of the photos are great and inspiring. I used to dismiss autumn and just retire from the garden because I thought it too fleeting. Once I realized it was no more fleeting than spring, my perspective totally changed. Thanks for sharing you beautiful photos, Carol.

The pumpkin stick men are outstanding. The fall color shots are great. All the submissions of the last weeks have been enjoyable.
I'm taking this opportunity to share my Halloween decoration idea. Carol Jean
