This is a planting at the edge of the central pond in the Lerner’s Garden of the Five Senses at the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens in Boothbay, Maine. Some of these plants include blue oat glass (Helictotrichon sempervirens, USDA Hardiness Zones 4-9), lavender (Lavandula spp. and cvs., Zones 5-9), ligularia (Ligularia spp. and cvs., Zones 4-8), and silver sage (Salvia argentea, Zones 5-8).

Last week, assistant editor Kerry Ann Morre took a garden-themed tour of Maine with her trusty camera by her side. This week in the GPOD, we’re featuring five photos from one of her favorite stops, the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens in Boothbay. Enjoy!
