Time for bulbs. Select and plant summer bulbs such as dahlias (Dahlia spp. and cvs., Zones 7-10), gladiolus (Gladiolus spp. and cvs., Zones 7-10), and lilies (Lilium spp. and cvs., Zones 3-8).

Keep it neat. Cut hedging plants and topiaries of plants like yew (Taxus spp. and cvs., Zones 5-8), boxwood (Buxus spp. and cvs., Zones 4-9), and English laurel (Prunus laurocerasus, Zones 6-8).

Look to your lawn. Renovate, fertilize, and reseed lawns. Think about biodiverse varieties of seed mixes.

Weed. Keep watch on early spring weeds.

Keep watch on climbing roses. Tie back or bend long new growth for abundant blooms on your roses (Rosa spp. and cvs., Zones 3-9).
