“I love to embellish—my clothing, my house, and best of all, my garden,” says Eve Thyrum, a volunteer at the Scott Arboretum at Swarthmore College and a member of the Hardy Plant Society. In this tour of her 2-1/4-acre garden, Eve shares some of her ideas for placing ornaments to develop motifs and create a sense of unity in the garden.
Eve gardens with her husband, Per, in the verdant hills of Delaware, Pennsylvania. Her article Ornaments in the Garden appears in the November/December 2000 issue of Fine Gardening (#76).
