Today’s photo is from Dorothy Kerr. She sent it in last week and said, “This is spring at its best. Mother robin’s eggs in a weeping mulberry tree in Central Ohio.” When I emailed Dorothy earlier this week to let her know I’d be featuring the eggs on the GPOD today, she sent in an update! Click on the second photo to see mama sitting on the eggs and the third photo to see the newly-hatched babies. Beautiful, Dorothy! Thanks for capturing this. Dorothy wrote a blog post about the nest–check it out here.

    Our robin's eggs are a much paler blue . . .

    Beautiful!

That nest was made by one OCD lil' Robin-- I've never seen such perfection in the nests our Robins make-- they seem quite slapdash and last-minute constructions in fact!

This is spectacular! I just love nature's handiwork.

The prettiest garden ornament there is.

We see the occasional robin here in southern CA. They were regulars in our backyard in the midwest. I miss them. Thanks for these great pics.
