Today’s photos are from Patti Sherwood in Kalama, Washington. She says, “This was the first of several fairy gardens that my granddaughters and I have created. I’ve become a bit obsessed. My three-year-old granddaughter and I visit the Goodwill store every Wednesday and hunt for fairies and other related items for our gardens. I have also found fairies at the local dollar store. They have been so much fun. I have given fairies to many visitors who have expressed an interest in creating their own fairy gardens, especially little girls, although my 6-year-old grandson has shown interest in doing a garden with “boy ferries.” I’m on a hunt to fulfill his wishes.” Thanks, Patti, for sharing!

My daughter would love this!
I absolutely love what you have created. You are definitely a gardener after my own heart. I used to take my grandchildren on walks and show them fairy beds of moss etc. This is a must do for me too.
Oh this CUTE....any child would love to create this garden...I think a young boy would too...of course it would have to be transformer's or something...such a neat creative idea!
I, too, have enjoyed creating a moss fairy garden with my granddaughters. Where did you get the windows and door?
A great web site for fairy garden everything (gates, doors, etc. and the whole 9 yards) is http://www.finefairyhouses.com.You may also google 'fairy garden' images and 'fairy garden'supplies and you will fine a ton of people who carry every thing needed to get one started 'fairy gardening'. Also for the young boys and gentlemen in your life, you can intoduce them with the same gardens except use gnomes instead of fairies!
Great fun to share with grandchildren, children, garden friends, seniors, anyone!Go for it and enjoy!!!
04flowers, the windows and doors are from Hearth and Plow. You can find them on line. Happygrandma, you are going to keep me busy for the rest of the week with your fairy garden links. . Thanks for sharing and thank you all for your nice comments. Patti
I love the fact that you go make a weekly trip to Goodwill. That and other thrift stores are a great source for inexpensive, interesting and unique items that can be repurposed. It is the fun way to recycle.
patti, this is just lovely. what a memorable thing for youall to share! I do believe Michelle posted a FG photo of a fairy garden in Portland Ore earlier this year.....If i recall correctly, it was created by the owner above their front sidewalk on a busy residential street- for passersby.
best,
