Today’s photos (no, that first one’s not photoshopped…Wow!) are from Jeffrey Ross.
Jeff says, “I live in the Sonoran Desert of North Phoenix, Arizona. I started my blog, Gardening on the Moon, because compared to gardening in my former state, New Jersey, during the summer it is like gardening on the moon, i.e. very different.
“I have become a Master Gardener where I am very active with our yearly Real Gardens for Real People Tour and I also volunteer in the Seed Room of the Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix. I visited Larnach Castle in New Zealand as part of a three-week vacation to Australia and New Zealand. The gardens were stunning even though the day was overcast.”
I’ll say! Thanks for taking us to the other side of the globe, Jeff.

Stunning gardens. Beautiful, well-composed photographs!
Lovely! Is that moss growing over those rocks?
The clarity in that first photo blew me away! This'll be my screen background for awhile. Thanks!
AMAZING...thank you for the visit to the castle!
So pretty!
What a treat...everything looks beautiful. Hopefully I won't hear loud guffaws of laughter as I voice this query..is New Zealand currently in the middle of it's summer season? I'm thinking yes but my lazy brain is not completely sure.
Wow... I never really thought about landscaping in New Zealand before, I am now! Thanks, Jeff.
Gorgeous! and I love the cat gargoyle! Thanks.
The first photo is so beautiful that it actually looks artificial. I know it's real and absolutely beautiful. Thanks for providing such a different look at gardening.
Thank-you for sharing! I garden in New Jersey, but succulents are my plants of choice. Are those spiral aloes in your first photo? I've been babying one along, but it realizes it's out of it's element!
Wow! I am sooooooo inspired.
