As promised, here a few scenes from gardens in Millenium Park in downtown Chicago. A couple of these, forgive me, aren’t garden-related, but I can’t resist sharing two of the most successful pieces of public art (in my honest opinion) I’ve ever experienced. Though I can’t say that the mirrored bean was very flattering to my figure…

Art and gardening do indeed compliment each other! Not only in that touches of ornament in the garden add to the beauty of it, but that gardens are living pieces of art. Frank Lloyd Wright made sculptures of flowers, and gardeners "sculpt" them from the ground up. Good shots Michelle!
Millenium Park is the best thing that Chicago has ever done for it's public. It started out as a dead and incredibly ugly space in the heart of downtown, and ended up being a magnificent destination for anyone coming into the city. Thanks Michelle. Can you tell how much I love this park?
I think I see you. On sculpture there is tiny little guy reflection, mom & stroller then above that and to the left is that your reflection taking a picture. I love these photos. These are the only photos I've seen of Chigago that made me think I might want to visit.
I think that's the guy from the extreme left side of the photo! I can't figure it out...
I think, if you are in the picture at all, you must be way back in the reflection in the line of people where the squares are replaced by the smooth paving. The order is reversed, of course, in the reflection. Thanks for these pictures. Not being able to travel any more, I am eager to see all the pictures you want to post!
Oh Solana1234... Chicago is a worthwhile destination, even if only for a long weekend. Timing is everything, fall tends to have the best weather. It is a beautiful city with amazing neighborhoods and even better food... from $ to $$$$.
