Here’s an example of a combo that shouldn’t work, but does. All of these plants have quite similar textures and colors, but when you put them together, instead of creating a chaotic mishmash, they make you stop and look again. The subtle differences make for an intriguing tapestry that’s surprisingly pleasing. This combo was designed by Deanne Fortnam in Nashua, New Hampshire.

I absolutely love the pictures you post but their so dark. At least on my end they are.
You gotta love all of the coleus that are available these days. One of my favorite containers was about 36" in diameter and crammed with an assortment of coleus. A lot of drama in those leaves!
What are we looking at.
I have used Coleus almost every summer for the last 20 years in containers. How interesting to note the difference foliage that has been developed for Coleus over the years. Once upon a time all you couold get were green color.
