John and Betsy’s Secret Garden in Plainfield Illinois is perfect for outdoor living! If you need me, I'll be in the tree house coloring with crayons.
"Back in January I sent some photos of our garden. I had a couple of projects I was doing over the winter and they are now finished. We have added a cooking/dining area and a tree house for Grandkids. If anyone wants to see more pictures I have a lot on my web site www.sullysgarden.com. Enjoy!"

What a lovely landscape. Wish mine were so beautifully manicured. Love the water feature and the textures of the foliage around it. Can you tell me what is the recumbent/weeping evergreen in the pond photo?
Peggy, That is a weeping white spruce.
Wow! I am just plain envious of that greenhouse. Your compound is beautiful and it looks so welcoming...I'm sure your grands and everybody else wants to come and stay. If I'm ever out that way, could I ??
Just stop by
It just gets better and better, doesn't it? The plantings behind the waterfalls are perfect.
Ah, ha...the memory of that curving line of daylilies stayed with me and I'm so glad you returned with pictures of your completed projects. The treehouse is adorable with such wonderfully playful finishing touches like the tree trunks for posts and branches for balusters. And I'll bet that swing rope gets plenty of exercise when the grandkids are visiting. Love all the additional pictures on your website and I hope it won't louse up your traffic meter if I let the slideshow play all day and so I can pop in and out and eventually see them all.
Hope your 2015 Timmy's Garden Walk was a huge success and your visitors got a kick out of the new garden additions. Any projects swirling around in your thoughts for completion by summer of 2016?
Timmy's walk was a great success and 2016 will be the 10th annual one. No big projects yet for next season, New knees comming.
That is some garden! What lucky grandkids! How large is your property shown here John?
Diane, we have 3/4 of a acre. Thanks
Truly amazing garden with all sorts of interesting features. What a great place to chill or play. I really like the privacy too. Wish I had that greenhouse..I need one of those badly.
Thais a BC Greenhouse and I really enjoy it. Thanks
I bet you see your grandkids every weekend. Your place is not only adult heaven but kid heaven! Beautiful place. I can see all the love and work you have put in for a long time. Wonderful home.
Thank You
Absolutely wonderful. Your grandkids are so fortunate. What FUN! And what a fabulous place for the grownups as well. Indeed, a special place. Your structures and plantings are great- I especially like the plantings around the pond.
Thanks
What a wonderful quiet and beautiful oasis. Where were you went you took the overhead pictures?
My son-in-law Tim went on our roof and shot the pictures. Thanks
