Bougainvillea is an iconic vine in warm, dry parts of the world. Only hardy in Zones 9–11, it is a massive, thorny plant—but WOW, what a display when it flowers! The actual flowers are small and white; the intense magenta color seen here is produced by the colorful bracts that surround the actual blooms. But blooms or bracts, it has got to be one of the most beautiful plants in the world.
So gorgeous.
Rows of potted geraniums (Pelargonium spp. and hybrids). The pots in the front are the classic zonal geraniums, commonly grown as annuals all over the world. The ones in the back are the group sometimes called regal or Martha Washington geraniums. They have incredibly beautiful flowers but generally don’t thrive in areas with hot, humid summers. View our plant guide to geraniums here.
Purple coneflower (Echinacea purpurea, Zones 3–9) is native to North America but has become a popular garden plant all over the world.
Pink roses, possibly the variety ‘Queen Elizabeth’. Roses are a good choice for dry-climate gardens because they are far less prone to fungal disease on the leaves when grown in low humidity.
A wide shot of the garden. In the foreground is clary sage (Salvia viridis, annual). The beautiful pink color is, again, produced not by the flowers, but the colored bracts below each actual bloom.
More beautiful roses.

I can't even begin to imagine what it would like to have such a towering mass of solid color to look up as provided by that glorious Bougainvillea vine. Forgive my ignorance but does it flower endlessly in climates it is happy in? Those Martha Washington geraniums are quite eye-catching as well. You certainly have lots of wonderful flower choices to put together beautiful bouquets, Ev.
Lovely! All of it. That bougainvillea certainly looks like a "traffic-stopper". Wow. Is it fragrant also?
I love all the bright colors Ev! The Bougainvillea is stunning, and your roses are gorgeous too!
I love seeing what people in other countries grow. Your garden is beautiful.
A kaleidoscope of beautiful shapes and colors!
I am not a "pinky person" but all these various shades of pink are just beautiful. The bougainvillea is gorgeous, and therefore the star, but I love that clary sage. I grew it a time or two years ago but had sort of forgotten about it. I must get some seed and put out a patch for next year. Thanks for the reminder.
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful! How fun is it to have a look at a garden from across the world? Love it!
That garden is looking so beautiful and gorgeous particularly Bougainvillea is catching my attention. Purple cone-flower and Pink roses are also enhancing the beauty of this garden. I am thinking to use my assignment help for spreading awareness about gardening and promoting nature.
