This year a butterfly milkweed (Asclepias tuberosa, Zones 3-9) planted itself in the middle of a row of tomatoes. It attracts all kinds of pollinators, and some of them go on to check out the tomato flowers. This companion planting was a happy accident that seems to be working out well!
