For the spectacular setting alone I love to visit Boyce Thompson Arboretum State Park. Lots of mature specimens that thrive in the Sonoran Desert's climate. Other favs include the Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix. The Arizona Sonora Desert Museum is more than just plants, with displays that range from well tended native birds and animals to geology and natural history. In CA, its hard to compete with the Huntington Botanical Gardens.
Anyone have favorites in NM or TX?
