Is there anyway to grow moss quickly in the garden?

Is there truly any way to encourage moss to grow in my garden? I know that those “moss milkshakes” and other similar products don’t really work, but I like the idea of having moss pathways, and groundcover throughout my shady landscape. How do I make it happen?

    Moss can be purchased in sod form. Do a web search for these terms:
    moss sod
    Live moss
    Sheet moss
