Every garden has its highs and lows, but in the desert I always anticipate the summer glory of Leucophyllum shrubs that paint the garden purple, pink and lavender. Triggered by the summer monsoons, they will come in and out of bloom for weeks on end whenever rain and humidity breathe new life into the desert.
