We’ve been very much enjoying eating persimmons from the market this season, and I’m thinking to plant a few trees of my own.  I was thinking I’d like to grow the native one, but I’ve only ever tried the straight species, which wasn’t that great eating. I see there are more selections of it then there used to be! Is anyone growing persimmons in zone 6b, native or otherwise?
