Not long ago I wrote an article on conifers from the Pacific Northwest that grow well in the Southeastern states (I will put in comments). Many of us lost conifers in this past years weird weather (polar vortex anyone!!). I would love to hear some of the conifers you are really loving in the Southeast right now? Or if you are not in the Souteast what conifers are you loving in your region?

Hinoki cypress are my favorite! Unfortunately I lost a large portion of my dwarf collection last year. I'm trying again. Chamaecyparis obtusa 'Spiralis' is one of my top ones.

In zone 8b, Chamaecyparis pisifera 'Golden Mop' has done well and at 15 years old, I have three that are about 8' tall. They have maintained a pyramidal shape and the foliage remains dense.
I love Gold Mop for its bright gold foliage color.
