Here we are in November and virtually everything is going dormant, changing colors or dropping every leaf with the exception of a few sturdy souls. I thrilled with the view out my kitchen window. In front of my tall hedge of Hicks Yew (Taxus hicksii) I have a group of Hydrangea ‘Wee White’ that are continuing to bloom. I deadheaded them a month ago, seeing many small buds and have been rewarded with dozens of gorgeous white balls of flowers. On today’s gloomy and rainy day, it is a welcome sight. Small in stature, they will fit in most gardens. I have only replanted a few over the years, due to my dog’s unrelenting abuse or varmints digging in the garden.
