I still have a few dozen bulbs to tuck in, but that’s pretty much the case every year. Any day now, we will get a hard freeze which will do in the tender vegetable plants (think tomatoes and basil). Some of you may have already had your first frost and/or freeze. Plan and rescue produce accordingly.
Last weekend, our sprinklers were blown out for the season to prevent freezing pipes.
I am slowly cleaning up around here, loving every minute of the autumn weather, and not missing – not for one second! – the hideous wildfire smoke that covered this valley for almost 3 months.
Carry on and gather the pumpkins and squash!
