What time should you plant garlic in the fall in upstate NY?

    Hi! October is the perfect time to plant garlic in your area. In zone 6, I always plant on my birthday, October 12th. I have planted as late as Thanksgiving and still had the cloves pop their foliage out. I add a bulb fertilizer when I plant and mulch with chopped leaves.
