Information below provided by Prairie Nursery
“Cream false indigo is an exquisite native perennial with a wide, bushy habit and cascading branches bearing foot-long flower spikes. Treasured for its clusters of lush cream flowers, Cream False Indigo is extremely long-lived and individual plants are known to live for decades. This early blooming prairie plant is essential for queen bumblebees as they emerge from hibernation in the spring. The attractive velvety gray-green leaves and large seed pods turn dark gray or black in the fall, adding great contrast and interest in the late season garden.”
CareCan be damaged by wind and it needs support from companion plants. The flowering is more showy with drier soils.
