Low-growing rosettes of long gray leaves covered in fine gray hairs and gray-white flowers in spring that resemble a cat’s paw make Antennaria great plants for edging, pathways, or stone walls.

Noteworthy CharacteristicsLooks great in spaces between stepping stones or on a patio. It also makes a great edging plant in dry beds. It will drape dramatically when planted on rock walls.

CareProvide full sun and very well-drained, dry to medium soil. Antennaria will falter in wet cool conditions.

PropagationSow seeds in open frame in spring or autumn. Divide in spring.
