‘Prosperity’ Hybrid musk rose

Rosa 'Prosperity'

ROE-sah Audio

This rose produces a profusion of rosette-shaped ivory blossoms in large clusters. It forms a densely arching shrub, reaching 8 feet high and 4 feet wide and blooming from spring to autumn. It is ideal as a low climber up a wall, arch, or trellis.

Noteworthy CharacteristicsHybrid musk roses are usually fragrant, blooming from June through October. They are ideal for borders or hedges, and make excellent companions to herbaceous perennials. They can tolerate more shade than most roses.

CareGrow in fertile, moist, well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade. Provide good air circulation and remove fallen leaves to help prevent disease.  Prune lightly or back by up to one-third, reducing side shoots by one-half to one-third. To renovate, prune one in four or five shoots from the base.

PropagationTake softwood cuttings when bloom initiates in spring to summer; take hardwood cuttings in fall.
